My Friend Doesn't Like You Either!
Oh no! I've got the death sentence on twelve systems, AGAIN! I dread to think what the fine is going to be. This is just one of those pics i did for fun, obviously i would love to draw the whole film out like this, but until someone gives me some space-credits it'll remain fully formed in my imagination.
I was trying to take the pen & cut-out style i did for Bezier Marketing and turn it into something that could be applied to story books. I was reading the incredibly detailed 'Making of Star Wars' book and this scene from the cantina felt like a good thing to go for. I went on to develop it in full colour, but that's for another episode.
Behind The Scenes: after a 30second pencil sketch...
...everything was drawn directly into photoshop using one of my custom ink brushes, then lots of very meticulous and laborious photoshop tricks make it look like it's all made of paper in a miniature set. Bingo!
